How do the RESTUBE Safety Buoy models differ in construction and intended use?

The choice of the right RESTUBE Safety Buoy strongly depends on the intended activity and the forces involved:

RESTUBE BEACH/ ONE 
The models are designed for swimming and use in calm water, such as lakes or beach without significant waves.

👉 Not suitable for surfing or strong wave conditions.

RESTUBE Active
The right choice for swimming without a board in more demanding conditions. It features a reinforced eyelet, specifically designed to withstand higher tensile forces.

RESTUBE Extreme
Developed for surfing and situations with high loads. This model is structurally reinforced and clearly the recommended option for board sports.

Note on the construction of Beach / One:
For a certain period, RESTUBE Beach / One used a stitched connection instead of a metal eyelet. This connection is intentionally designed for lower breaking loads and also functions as a predetermined breaking point.
Important: The buoy itself always remains intact, even if the leash were to fail.
To date, no leash failure has occurred during proper use.

Outlook:
As part of a product standardization, we will switch all models back to the proven eyelet solution from 2027 onwards. This change comes with higher production costs and, consequently, adjusted retail prices.

Chose the wrong model?
No problem: The product can of course be returned and exchanged for a different model.
For surfing, we clearly recommend the RESTUBE Extreme – we are happy to offer an upgrade with a surcharge.
